Private Label Rights are one of the best and easiest ways to make money on the net. If you haven’t got the time, writing ‘chops’ or inspiration to create your own eBook, and you don’t have the money to pay someone to do it for you, then you can buy some eBooks and depending upon the license you buy, start selling them as soon as you’ve uploaded them to your site. Hi. Anyone Who Seriously Hates Writing Or Cannot Afford Expensive Ghostwriting Fees should consider Niche Products that have unrestricted Private Label Rights.
After buying a range of niche products over the last 15 months, I’ve discovered, often too late, that many eBooks, software etc, have unclear rights explained during the purchase process. It certainly pays to check it out thoroughly before parting with your hard-earned cash…or yet-to-be-earned credit. Whilst there are guidelines, each owner of the product will sometimes have specific limitations attached to their product’s license.
Personal Label Rights usually mean just that…for your own use and that’s it. I’ve sometimes made the mistake of seeing the PLR for some products thinking it to be ‘private’ only to find out later that they meant ‘personal’.
Resell Rights generally mean that you can just resell the product to customers. You’re usually restricted from altering anything associated with the product, including the eBook, sales page – if you have one – images etc. You ‘may’ be permitted to put your name on the sales page. You are usually not permitted to pass on resell rights to your customers. So if you have customers looking to resell their own products, then unless they’re interested in the specific knowledge of say the eBook, then they probably won’t be interested.
If you are trying to sell an eBook by itself, then make sure that the eBook is a quality read and edited professionally. Many eBooks I’ve bought leave a lot to be desired regarding their editing, presentation, links and research.
Master Resell Rights generally gives you the opportunity to pass on Resell Rights to your customers and sometimes add your name as the author, claim copyright etc. But usually, I found it more of an exception at this level, to be able to alter the product too much.
Private Label Rights usually has a lot more scope for ownership than the aforementioned. Again it varies from author to author, but it usually means that you can pass on Master Resell Rights, Resell Rights, claim authorship, alter sales pages, headers, images etc and even place links in the eBook itself. More often than not, you can sometimes offer Private Label Rights as well. Having said that, there can be restrictions even at this level. Sometimes you cannot ‘give away’ the book, if you want to build your list – although some authors allow you too give it away to paid memberships. Sometimes a price is recommended by some authors – or a price range, whilst others either don’t care, or they’ll state a specific price.
To get ‘unrestricted’ rights, you must be sure it states such when you’re are looking at PLR products. Usually, when you see this, you can be assured that you can do pretty much what you want with the products. Unrestricted rights are normally associated with PLR products, but even then, it pays to check just how much freedom you have with the term ‘unrestricted’ PLR.
This is a fairly generalist overview of these individual licensing differences and as suggested, make sure you check it out thoroughly before buying. If no refund is offered and you buy something that you thought meant something else, then good luck getting your money back.
